Dining

Breakfast

Breakfast is served between 7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m.

Guests will be asked to choose a time for dining at arrival. If an earlier or later time is desired, or something to go or portable is needed that can be arranged in advance. Guests will also be asked to advise us of any special dietary restrictions, allergies or needs. Breakfast is typically served in the dining room but during the warm months it can be served on the patio or porch. Breakfast in your room is also an option any time. 

The breakfast menu will include seasonal fruit, homemade baked goods, fruit juices, a main entree and fresh brewed coffee as well as a selection of teas. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are available by request. When possible farm fresh eggs and local in-season fruits and vegetables are used in our recipes. 

Items the menu might include are: 

*Fluffy golden pancakes with pure maple syrup 

* Crust less quiche with various cheeses, veggies, ham, sausage or bacon 

*Country potatoes, with made to order eggs and ham, sausage or bacon. 

* Hearty breakfast casseroles with eggs and meat or a sweet and fruity French toast version 

 

Friends or family who aren’t staying at the inn are welcome at breakfast with advanced notice for an additional charge of $15 per person. 

Lunch

By Reservation Only

Lunches are available for anyone by reservation. Let us host a club meeting, business lunch, birthday get together or any occasion. In season, you are welcome to eat on the porch or patio. Dietary restrictions will be met with advance notice. Feel free to bring your own wine or special drink. We will provide glasses, corkscrew and ice. Please call to discuss pricing and options! A group of at least six and no more than 30 is required. The menu will be the same for everyone in your group. 

Lunch menus might include: 

*Bleu Cheese Chicken salad sandwich, Mom’s Mac Salad and seasonal fruit 

*Spring Salad with boiled egg, cheddar Cheese, Bacon and baby peas on a bed of spinach leaves with homemade dressing and an herb marinated baked chicken breast 

*Soup of your choice and a salad or sandwich of your choice 

*Selection of delicious “Comfort Food” casseroles 

Dinner

By Reservation Only

Are you weary from traveling and would just like to have a meal in? Please let us know at booking at least two weeks in advance that you would like this option, and it can be arranged! Dinner is also available for those not staying the night at the Inn by advance reservation. Service is available Thursday thru Saturday evening between 6:30 and 8 p.m. You may dine in the dining room or on the porch or patio in-season. Please feel free to bring your own alcoholic beverages. We will provide the glasses, ice or corkscrew. Please call for menu options and pricing. Groups of 6-30 preferred. The menu will be the same for your entire group. 

Menus might include: 

*Roast Pork Tenderloin with Marvelous Mushrooms, Garlic Roasted Red Potatoes and Bacon wrapped asparagus. 

*Vegetarian Lasagna with Pasta or Zucchini Noodles and Garlic Bread 

*Grilled or Baked Herb Marinated Chicken Breast, Roasted Garlic Pasta, Sautéed Green Beans 

*Shrimp Scampi on Angel Hair Pasta, Mixed greens and Garlic Bread 

Desserts

The best part of any meal! Desserts are homemade and change on a regular basis. Fresh baked cookies will always be available to over-night guests on arrival at the inn and are a fixture on the dessert menu. Dessert choices must be made at the time a reservation is made for lunch or dinner. The dessert will be the same for your entire groups with some exceptions. 

Dessert Menu might include: 

*Fresh baked Chocolate Chip, peanut butter or snickerdoodle cookies 

*Homemade Brownie Ice Cream Sundae with Chocolate Sauce 

*Homemade Strawberry Shortcake with Fresh Whipped Cream 

*Chocolate Bread Pudding 

*Homemade Tiramisu 

*Variety of Homemade Pies with or without Ice Cream 

Appetizers

Next to dessert, everyone’s favorite food group! Are you not looking for a full meal for your gathering or wanting something fun to start off the evening? We can plan a great array of appetizers that will be both pleasing to look at and delicious! The selection can be as simple as a Charcuterie board or a little more involved such as stuffed mushrooms or garlic marinated asparagus. Call for pricing and options. Can be added to the lunch or dinner menu for group reservations or as the main menu items. If appetizers are the main menu item, larger groups can be accommodated. 

The Innkeeper, Doreen, has always loved cooking and would describe herself as a good “home” cook and baker. The recipes used at B & B on Sixth are simple and delicious.
